Matthew Eby, the Founder and Executive Director of First Street Foundation, is responsible for the organization’s strategic direction and operations along with the development and deployment of digitally-driven communications to heighten awareness of and prompt action to address sea level rise.
He is a recognized marketing expert with global experience in all facets of the digital world, with particular involvement in telecommunications. Before creating First Street, Matt founded and still serves as CEO of Anthro, a digital marketing agency that focused on cause-based marketing.
Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Consumer and Brand Marketing for The Weather Company, where he managed a portfolio of brands including The Weather Channel (online and broadcast) and Weather Underground. Before that he was that company’s Chief Marketing Officer of its Digital Business Unit.
Matt began his career at BlackBerry holding many positions from a business manager for two of the company’s key accounts, AT&T and Rogers Communications, to Director of Brand Marketing for the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Matt is a true global marketer that has lived and worked in such places as Toronto, London, Tokyo, Atlanta and New York.
He holds an MBA in Marketing from McMaster University as well as an Honors Bachelors in Business Commerce.
