Miguel Vacas is a Web Developer at First Street Foundation, where he is responsible for full front-end and back-end development.
Miguel was first exposed to the entrepreneurial world while studying abroad at Universidad de Palermo in Argentina. Upon finishing his Bachelor’s degree, he began work as a Program Associate at Grupo Guayacán, where he helped organize the curriculum and logistics for entrepreneurial education programs offered by the nonprofit, and aided in running the entrepreneurial workshops and digital marketing efforts. While at Grupo Guayacán, Miguel served as a Teaching Assistant for the Puerto Rico cohorts of I-Corps, participated in a Master Class for the Business Model Canvas, and undertook programming courses at Piloto151’s Codetrotters.
With help from key players in the Puerto Rican entrepreneurial and tech community, Miguel most recently launched Diasporicans, a website that centralized information regarding donations, volunteer opportunities, and other useful tools and resources for those seeking to help Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
Miguel holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, and a number of programming accreditations from Codetrotters.
